Junior Developer Internship - 2013

CodeWright is offering a unique opportunity for two top graduates. Successful applicants will receive personal mentoring and coaching, job experience in a top 4 financial institution in Johannesburg, an opportunity to transform university theory into practical programming experience and software, while being paid at a competitive rate. This one year contract experience could result in the exceptional student being offered full time employment either with CodeWright, or the client company.
The internship will include:
• Experience in a large corporate environment developing real world applications.
• Exposure to many key technologies and frameworks, which will add value to any CV.
• On the job mentoring and guidance from a top java developer and mentor.
• Frequent and detailed feedback and review of coding skills, software design and soft skills.
By the end of the year you can expect to be a well rounded and competent developer, with confidence, real world experience, and hard skills.
Key Requirements for Applicants
• 3-4 year tertiary qualification majoring in programming.
• Drive to learn and improve
• Basic knowledge of Java
• Ability to work in a team
Selection Process
Selection starts 26 November – 30 November 2012. Contract starts on 21 January and ends on 20 December 2013, with a progress and salary review on 30 June. Thereafter contract renewal or permanent placement within CodeWright of the client will be considered.
Round 1

Round 2
On 26 November all successful applicants, will meet together, introduce themselves, and receive requirements for a simple software project. This project must be completed individually and delivered by 9am Monday 3rd December. Successful applicants will be notified by Tuesday 4th December.
Round 3
Final interviews and selection will be held on Wednesday 5th December.
